San Francisco based prducer Justin Weisberg drops us this epic piece entitled Hadron Collider. Inspired by the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) based in Switzerland, Weisberg uses epic build ups, and breakbeat influenced drums to create this stunning piece.
Self-titled ‘gheystep’ and D&B producer, Blue Motion, teams up with Identified to bring us this interesting, and bumping liquid track. Entitled Music Saved My Soul, the two producers have done away with standard drums, and instead put in place a lighter and perfectly fitting slections of drums. Strong use of piano and glides works effortlessly alongside the reverbed and delayed vocals and synths to bring us this ethereal piece.
Command Strange pulls a slightly different sound out the bag, with this minimal atmospheric 140 track entitled Soulmate. With soft, gliding pads and a deep rumbling bass line alongside, this piece switches style repeatedly whilst at the same time keeping Command Strange’s sound consistent throughout.
Slow amen breaks, and a garage influenced four to the floor section drop highlights CS’s ability to cross over styles not only from one track to the next but within individual productions as well.
Belgian duo Shadow Finger drop the grime with their unsigned track entitled Gargoyle. With their stomping track- among others, Shadow Finger highlights the growing Jump Up scene emerging in and around Belgium. Nights such as Antwerp City Flow and Inno In The Dam regularly containing some of the biggest names in Upfront and Jump Up Drum & Bass.
Centra continues to pump out tune after tune from his sound lab, and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Minefields brings with it the flavours usually heard from the people over at Critical Music. This guy is definitely one to watch over the rest of the year, continuing to push the boundaries of his production skills.
To this day, still on of the best podcasts to come out of DBA in all my time listening.
