Lung - Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything? EP (MEDIC28)
@MedSchoolMusic drops Lung’s brilliant Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything? EP. Featuring beautiful vocals from Rachel K Collier on the title track, Lung effortlessly winds down the BPM to slower sounds with Sky People. Brilliant, bubbling bass notes on top of what can only be described as weightless skipping drums.
After this, we quickly move on to Asleep In Her Bed, a deep atmospheric piece containing a cacophony of clicks and notes, bringing the listener sounds reminiscent of Bluetech’s Triange (Retriangulated) albeit a little faster!
Lung the steps up the pace once more for Complete Me, Completely, a hard stomping bass line, with a brilliantly skipped rhythm and perfect use of percussion.
To top it off, we’re given a radio edit of Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything? with it’s warm, welcoming bass notes, soft strings, and wonderful floating vocals from Rachel K Collier.
In all, a outstanding EP from Lung. Something you expect no less than from Med School!

Logistics continues to push his unique and undisputable sound with this track forthcoming on the flipside to We Are On. Timelapse features rippling synths and hard hitting drums to create this upbeat, bumping sound that Logistics effortlessly conjures up time and time again.
@MedSchoolMusic drops a little taster from its forthcoming compilation album entitled Blood Pressure. Featuring a blend of up-and-coming artists and producers that are already well-known, this album will show Med School’s continuing ability to highlight and source brilliantly talented producers from across the globe.
Here we have the sounds of Frederic Robinson, a 19 year old swiss producer with a warm upbeat sound like no other. In his own words, producing music for people with a ‘broad horizon and short attention span’, his words are easily backed up by his production skills. Roadtrip shows this with it’s use of light strings, tight claps and warm rolling bassline. Just one of many new producers to look out for from Med School’s forthcoming release Blood Pressure.
Frederic Robinson - Roadtrip
(MEDIC027) Taken from the forthcoming album Blood Pressure out March 5th on Med School Music.
Muffler returns to his epic d&b sounds with Tear Your Soul on Hospital Record’s Hospitality Drum & Bass 2012. Bringing back memories of Mermaids and Waves Breaking, Muffler uses a cacophony of strings and hard drum lines to produce this undeniably heavy track.

Featured: One of Manchester’s finest, Skittles jumps on the mic for @CamoKrooked’s The Lesson from their forthcoming album Cross The Line. Seen as one of the the leading MCs on the Manchester scene, it’s understanable why Camo & Krooked have picked this talented mancunian to feature on their forthcoming album.
Hospital have a bad habit of locking Logistics in a cage till we’ve nearly forgot how good he is, and briefly letting him out to remind us. It’s almost as if Hospital are saying “No, Matthew. You’re too good, get back in the cage, you’re making your brother look bad.”
And then Matt has to look on while they give Dan all the remixes. Dan occasional whispers “I’m so sorry” as one tear rolls down Matt’s face. Then late at night, Tony and Chris do experiments on Matt to find out where all the good beats come from.
Matt is actually bald. He wears a wig to cover the scars from where they’ve been prodding about, looking for the source.Ash actually has nothing to do with Med School. It’s a cover-up. His only job is to make sure Matt is fed, and let out for toilet duties.
That’s why there’s not more Nu:Logic material released. It’s hard to produce good music if your brother is in a cage.Andy C and Goldie attempted to rescue him recently. Matt was free for 6 and a half hours. Hence ‘The Plan That Cannot Fail’ remix.
They found him huddled in the corner with a MacBook Pro in Wilkinson’s toilet. He didn’t flush.
D*Minds puts together one tasty mix for this year’s (gully) Hospitality Festival D&B album sampler. Frome Creeper to Icicle’s I Feel U, this is one rollin mix!
