Atmospherix and Hydro team up for this bubbling 2 piece vinyl-only release on IM:Ltd. First up, Atmospherix drops this weighted techy roller entitled System Break. Featuring snippets of spaceship-like samples alongside constant sweeps, Atmospherix really does make this piece sound like some kind of system breakdown of an interstellar ship. Sounds crazy, we know, but you get what we’re saying.

On the flip Atmospherix and Hydro drop another roller with Duende, this time with soft, floating vocals on top of a grinding, grizzly bass line. A tasty treat from this well-set duo.

Hungarian producer Giocator drops his latest creation on Break-Fast Audio with the Better World EP. Featuring deep and rolling subs, Giocator puts industrial samples and effects to great use, giving each track an air of depth and futurism.

Though providing two brilliant techy rollers, Giocator also gives us two slower pieces, firstly with Shadowdub, which some could say is a tech/hip hop fusion. Next we’re given Kill Me Now, a rumbling 2-step piece with a chilling vocal sample. Perfect for those dark, dingy clubs at the dead of night!

Topping it off, Giocator drops The Ludovico Technique, a wobbbling, and industrial piece. A vibrant techy roller with ever changing samples and effects.

Yes, InstaSound is back, and with big things on the horizon. We’re back in London for the summer, getting mixes from some of the fruitiest up-and-coming Bass and D&B producers and DJs.

Apologies for the hiatus, but we’re back with ever-fresh sounds!

Kiwi duo The Upbeats join forces with Noisia to bring us something spectacular, in the shape of Blindfold. A dark and wonderous track featuring deep, grinding effects and a growling bassline like no other. Something to really look forward to!

Many of you may have already heard it, but Dub Phizix has managed to pull out another abosultely stonking 2-step roller, this time in the shape of Never Been. With Fox stepping up to add some undeniably fitting vocals to this already bumping track, this piece truly makes the speakers come alive when it’s played. With this deep minimal Jungle-esque piece smashing up dancefloors across the nation it’s only fitting that we give it some air time on our on page, and rightly so.

James Turner, aka Comfort, joins IM:Ltd once again to bring us ‘a breathe of fresh air’ in a place of dark and grizzly rhythms, and he does this in the form of The James Turner EP.

Brilliant piano sections are muffled out, whilst backing the warm and vibrant bass lines that this Plymouth-based producer conjures up, and the EP immediately jump into life with Shore Leave. Comfort manages to effortlessly feed us a mixture of minimal and liquid vibes, as this EP really does lighten up the mood from what is brilliant, but dark sounds from IM:Ltd.

A personal favourite of ours is The Old Hospital, it’s ever-so-light piano notes backed by a distant saxophone before slowly sliding into the bubbling sounds of the drop.

Nymfo drops us a taster of what’s to come on Klute’s Commercial Suicide- some very dirty basslines.

Starting off the vibes, Nymfo drops us a wicked deep roller in the shape of Under Fire. A wall of subs and tight percussion, this track will have any listener getting their wobble on.

On the flip, Nymfo cranks up the tempo alongside June Miller with Boshoven. Immediately from the drop, June Miller’s sound is present, with Nymfo tweaking the track to bring us a truly dirty piece. Some might say Neuro Funk, but in our eyes it’s just down right gully, switching up the vibe effortlessly from Under Fire.

Marcus Intalex & dBridge lead the way with the first in a series of remixed releases of Blu Mar Ten’s Love Is The Devil LP. Starting off, Marcus Intalex whips up some wonderful chilled vibes with his take on All Thoughts Are Prayers. Spectral sweeps, and gliding basslines bringing sounds reminiscent to some of Hospital’s earlier mix CDs.

On the flip dBridge takes the spot with Sweet Little Supernova. A deep, 170bpm feel is immediately installed as only dBridge knows how. Shuffling drums, and dark underlying growl from the bass, has this piece fitting perfectly in anyone’s 170 mix.

Two of America’s finest liquid drum & bass producers team up to bring us this absolutely wicked release on Prestige Music Group. Starting off with light, warming sounds of Child’s Play, Random Movement and Dave Owen do what they do best. Light, gliding jazz piano alongside a deep yet, mellow bass line to bring us something truly special for the encroaching summer. On top of this, the addition of distant horns and repeated snippets of a darker bassline, Child’s Play sets the scene brilliantly before moving on to the flipside.

On the B-side, Random Movement takes the reigns to bring us an absolutely bumping piece with Connections. A diving bass line, accompanied by a distant horn sample sets the pace before being joined by a handful of synth pads. A dancefloor stormer, Connections effortlessly bridges the gap between bassy-roller and liquid funk.
